1994
Bleed The Son began as the brainchild of Tim Connell (all guitars) and Brad White (vox and lyrics) in the fall of 1994. Purely in the formative stages at this point, the band had no true direction or name, only the desire to write Christ hating blasphemy in its most extreme form. The duo had hated Christian beliefs and morals and venerated the devil since infancy. Musically they were very much inspired by the 80's thrash metal scene and early 90's black metal. Soon songs were being written without drumming, as the two had no drummer and despised the sound of programmed battery.
1995
A drummer was found in the summer of 95, but after only 6 months this raging pussy could no longer be tolerated. It seemed as if proper band members would never present themselves.
1998
Basically on hold for much of the next 3 years, the two disillusioned hate mongers continued to write music and search for compatible musicians. Finally in early 98, the 'band' was introduced to The Mad Arab (battery). The Arab's sadistic nature and large bankroll made him a perfect fit for Bleed The Son. Songs previously written were reworked and new songs were written in a more polished style than before.
1999
In early 99 the band released a rehearsal tape simply titled 'Bleed The Son, Rehearsal 99, Fuck You', containing the songs 'Fuck You and Your Soul' and 'Last Cries of a Dying God'. Only distributed to close friends and associates, the tapes sound was shittier than shit, but was well received nonetheless.
2000
Amongst all the media hype surrounding the 'Fuck You' tape, the band continued to write and record new material and search for a bass player who didn't stink out loud. The Arab's misanthropic nature (and the bands lack of a bassist) precluded any live bloodletting, but a new rehearsal tape was unleashed in the fall of 2000. Not as raw, but just as hateful and sacrilegious as their previous 'Fuck You' tape, the band showed obvious progression in songwriting.
2001
Then finally in April 2001, Bleed The Son entered Nomad Studios with engineer Kol Marshall, to record their first official release. After three blood and alcohol soaked days of utter blasphemy, the five song demo 'A Feast of Blasphemy' was complete. Tim was forced to perform all bass parts, as a proper bassist was nowhere to be found. All in all happy with the outcome, the band has begun shopping the CD to various labels and hopes to enter the studio again soon to record a full length opus of audible nihilism. Labels, zines and any other inquirers are encouraged to kill them selves immediately.
